AN APPLICATION by
Rempel Brothers Con-
crete Ltd. for a licence-
to-occupy lands on For-
rester St. and a portion
of the Bridge St.
allowance for a portable
ready-mix concrete
plant and storage/bulk
sale of Pozzolan, a ce-
ment additive, has been
met with some concern
by North Vancouver
District council.

Ald. Murray Dykeman
told council he was worned
about possible traffic pro-
blems occurring at the
Dollarton and Forrester 1n-
tersection. Ald. Mary Segal
hesitated to approve the ap-
plication in principle as she
felt ‘‘there were too many
unanswered questions.’
However, her mouon for a
deferral of the application
was defeated. The area in
question is zoned 12, general
industnial.

The apphicanon by Rempel
Bros. has already been con-
sidered by Distnct staff, with
the Planning Department ob-
jecting to, among other
issues, the site’s close prox
imity to a pond feeding a
nearby conservation areca.

However, the site would
only be used on a temporary
basis, with the hoence to
occupy due to expire on
December 31, 1985. A licence
fee of $56,432 would be
levied over the areca which
measures 62,420 square feet
