By NOEL WRIGHT Seniors living in eight private hospitals and other care units will be taught a wide variety of crafts, in- cluding rug-making, quilting, Stitchery, woodwork and basket-weaving. Weekly visits by volunteers will encourage the seniors to keep working at specific pro-.- jects of their choice with the object of producing goods of . high quality and _ artistic merit. Finally, at the end of Oc- tober 1984, a public sale of their products will be held at the West Vancouver Seniors . Activity Centre. The 13-month program is being organized by the North Shore Volunteers for Residents in Care Facilities with the help of a $31,000 ‘New Horizons’ grant from the federal government.
