Issue: That all Greater Vancouver Regional District municipalities be requested to support the motion ” recently passed by the district asking the GVRD to desig- nate the areas between Lynn Canyon Park and Mount Seymour Park, otherwise known as the Seymour Demonstration Forest, as a regional park by sending 4 letter of support to the GVRD. Result: Passed unanimously Issue: That a decision on whether or not to direct staff to process a development permit application for a multi-family residential pro- ject at 1984-2012 Doliarton Highway be deferred until January 15, 1998 for a report on the state of provincial plans for Seymour transporta- tion and the Seymour River/Second Narrows Interchange. Result: Passed 4-3 Opposed: Coun. Crist, Coun. Harris, Coun. Muri Issue: That a representative of the Goods Transportation Industry be appointed to the North Vancouver District Transportation Planning Advisory Committee. Result: Passed 6-1 Opposed: Coun. Crist Issue: That the terms of ref- erence for the Community Diversity Advisory Committee be amended to reflect the following appoint- Ments: one representative from the — Multiculrural Society instead of two; one representative from the com- munity at large instead of two; a representative from Customer, Appreciation the Federation of North Vancouver Community Associations; a senior active in addressing community issues; the district's Youth Development Worker, and that the North Shore Advisory Committee on Disability Issues be asked to reconsider appointing a rep- resentative.
