The distinctive sights,
sounds and smells of the
IndyCar experience are just
days away as the seventh
annual Molson Indy
Vancouver roars into town
Friday.

And if the past history of
the exciting end-of-summer
race weekend is any indica-
tion, record crowds should
stream through the turn-
stiles at Concord Pacific
Place in downtown
Vancouver over the course
of the three-day event.

In fact, attendance fig-
ures for the past six races
have all bettered the year
previous mark. Last year,
169,138 motorsport fans
attended the weekend of
racing.

In total, nearly one mil-
lion (974,731) spectators
have attended the six past
Vancouver Indys. And for
good reason.

The Vancouver race is the
second-to-last round of the
16-event IndyCar season,
making it a crucial race for
drivers and tears still in the
championship point race,

In addition, the down-
town Vancouver road cir-
cuit makes for great open-
wheel racing action, con-
firmed by the high praises
sung by IndyCar drivers
each ‘year they visit - British
Columbia.
