+ Change oil and filter, If vehicle is to be used in a cold environment
such as the interior change ty a lighter oil,

- Check spark plugs, air filter and engine adjustment.
- Check condition of engine coolant. It should protect down to -35°
> Cold weather driving may require gas line anti-freeze

+ Check spark plug leads and boots for cracking. Spray all accessible
wires with a waterproof spray,

- + Check exhaust system for leaks or extreme wear. An exhaust leak is
particularly dangerous in winter when windows are kept rolled up
and cars tend to idle for extended periods of time to warm up.

- Check transmission fivid level. Automatic transmission Auid should

also be checked for condition.

- Check condition of brakes and fluid. Brakes are crucial in slippery
winter conditions,

-*Mount ard install winter or good all season tires. tis illegal to drive
on summer only tires in winter conditions.

- Check condition of windshield wipers

- Check freezing level of windshield washer fluid and top t up.
~ Check all lights.

- Lubricate all locks, handles and hinges.

Winter is no time to have your car leave you stranded. Avoid
more cosily repairs and potentially dangerous situations with a
comprehensive winter service before the sriow flies.
