Crown seeks dangerous offender declaration for kidnapper

A WOMAN who was attacked at the Bridge House res-
taurant in July by a man who was the subject of the farg-
est manhunt ever staged by the North Vancouver RCMP
said she is angry that no sentence has been handed down in

the case.

But Crown counsel Greg Weber
instead announced his intention to
have Snow examined by
psychiatrist Dr. Stan Semrau.

Weber will also attempt to have
Snow declared a dangerous of-
fender.

On Monday, North Vancouver
provincial court Judge Jerome
Paradis delayed his sentencing of
Snow and set aside Jan. 12 to 14
to hear the dangerous offender
application.

But Dalia Maria Gelineau, one

of Snow's victims, said she was
disappointed that no sentence was
delivered in the case on Monday.

Gelineau was assaulted by Snow
outside the Br-Ige House restau-
rant on Capilano Road in North
Vancouver at about 4 a.m. on Ju-
ly 12.

Snow was arrested when police
found him = standing over
Gelineau, who was bound and
gagged at the time.

Gelineau attended Snow’s
sentencing hearing on Monday.
