In a re-match of the Coaches Soccer League final of three weeks ago, league champions Nordic dominated the game with their aggressive, hard running style, causing Norvan defensive miscues and a gaining a 3-1 victory. The first 25 minutes produced ali three Nordic goals, the first by left winger Bill Smith who capital- ized on one of Norvan’s defensive errors. Striker Ron Wilson then headed home a superb Smith cross, and THEPO V 7ER TOUR fore the match was half an hour old. Nordic played the whole match without any substitutions, as even veteran winger Ted Budai played the full ninety minutes, while Norvan substituted freely. Eventually Norvan’s superior numbers became evi- dent, but it wasn’t until there was only 10 minutes left that striker Sohn Martin was able to nod a corner kick past Nordic keeper Dick Burns. Defender Stuart Broderick and midfielder Ron Hilder were also outstanding as Nordic confirmed their status as the class of the coaches league. The B.C.
