THE B.C. Institute of Technology
(BCIT) will offer two advanced
studies programs in business aimed
at giving students increased oppor-
tunities for advancement in the
business field.

With the new programs, stu-
dents will now be able to complete
a generalist bachelor’s degree in
administrative studies in B.C.,
consisting of two semesters of
full-time study in advanced
business courses at BCIT, and arts
and science courses through the
B.C. Open University.

As far as the future, Dixon said
she'll have a reasonable pension if
she stays with her police job. She
has taken out extra disability in-

surance in case she gets hurt and
cannot work as a police officer.

‘In the meantime, I’m building
up equity in my home,”’ she said.
“FF I do change jobs, I could
always go into something in a
related field like counselling, for
example.”’
