STUDENTS, DON’T settle for
just any summer job, look for
adventure.

The International Co-operative
Education program, offered by
Capilano College through the Nor-
thwest International Education
Association, is offering eight-to-1!0
week job opportunities in
Thailand, Turkey, Japan, China
and Germany. Students can earn
academic credit while gaining
valuable international experience.

Theze are ove: 60 positions
available in a wide variety of jobs,

ranging from assisting refugees in
Thailand to v-orking in a German
bank. Several offer room and
board, a stipend or regular pay.

The co-op program provides
students with the opportunity to
increase their cujtral awareness by
working and Von. in a foreign
country, often +
Classes, semina.- «4 meetings will
familiarize students with the coun-
try’s social customs and language
before they leave.

Although many positions do not
require a foreign language, some

do request that eligible students be
enrolled in a foreign language class
or have studied it at high schcol.

The Northwest [International
Education Association is compris-
ed of over 30 colleges in the
western United States and Canada
and is dedicated to the promotion
of international and intercultural
education.
