features include a body-colored

and 15-inch cash aluminum road
wheels, full-length console with
removable built-in cap and coin
holders and padded cover that
serves as a centre armrest,
premium cloth door trim panels
and 60/40 split fold-down rear seat
backs.

A lockup torque converter, new
for 2.2 litre engines with automatic
transaxles, eliminates slippage be-

tween the drive wheels and the
engine resulting in improved fuel
economy and driveability.

Standard features in the base
Dodge Shadow for 1988 include a
mini-console with front storage
and rear cubby box, a full fold-
down rear seat that extends trunk
space and a new, soft-viny! sport
steering wheel.

Front seats are equipped with a
redesigned, easier to use scat
recliner handle, and the air condi-
tioner and heater blower motor
have been improved to provide up
to 20 per cent more air flow at

high speeds.

The base Dodge Shadow is an
unusually complete car with a high
level of standard equipment in-
cluding power brakes, precision-
feel rack-and-pinion power steer-
ing, stainless steel exhaust system
and front and rear anti-sway bars.

Dual visor vanity mirrors with
sliding covers are standard and
door trim panels are equipped with
new fabric map pockets with
elasticized tops. Dual remote out-
side mirrors and childproof safety
locks (in four-door models) are
also standard.

In addition to the new ES
package for 1988, other optional
equipment packages are also
available. The Light Package op-
tion offers a rear dome light
switch, passenger sun visor with
vanity mirror and map light, cargo
compartment light and lights in the
ash receiver, glove box, ignition
switch and underhood.

Shadow’s Popular Equipment
Package includes the Light
Package along with a full-length
console with dual cup holder. The
snap-in cup holder is removable to
allow the bin to be used for

storage. This package also offers
an electric rear window defroster
and AM/FM stereo radio.

The Power Assist Package
features power door locks, dual
power mirrors and power win-
dows.

Other 1988 Dodge Shadow op-
tions include a sun roof, air condi-
tioning, tinted glass, power door
locks, rear window defroster,
aluminum road wheels and AM/
FM stereo radio with or without
cassette player.
