Sports Desk 985-2131 SECTION BUSINESS » AUTO REAL ESTATE NORTH SHORE Sanitherm Saints ended a successful season Sunday, not the way they wanted but with a 1-0 loss to Norvan in fourth round league cup action. The loss puts the Saints on the sidelines after winning their division 2a, although there has been some dispute over final standings. There is the possibility that Saints will be in com- petition this summer, taking part in the B.C. Summer Games as one of the division 2 champions. Norvan got on the score- board early with a_ con- troversial goal claimed by many observers to have been offside. However, since referees are never wrong the one goal stood up. Saints were unable to generate any sustained at- tack and were often under pressure from a composed and experienced Norvan side. Jerry Macey made a number of acrobatic saves in Saints net while John Medland never quit his hard, determined play. EASY oN THE FASTBALL Not only did Saints have to battle the opposttion throughout the last part of the season, but they ran into a financial crisis which threatened the club's ex- istence until the St. Alice Hetel moved into the breach helping out the young club.
