Foods Ltd. and taken by volunteers to the kitchens at St. David’s United Church, West Vancouver, and North Lonsdale United Church, North Vancouver where kitchen teams package the meals to be delivered by. the driving teams. The food is kept hot in specially made styrofoam boxes until it is received by each customer. North Shore Meals on Wheels is a_ volunteer community service started in 1968 with the sponsorship of churches on the North Shore and it is from this source and from the community at lage that théy obtain volunteers. A grant from the Ministry of Health pays the salary of VOLUNTEER ~- DRIV- ERS (above left) deliver hot meals three times a week at midday. Below, volunteers are busily preparing the food which will arrive warm and tasty and ready to eat. the part time co-ordinator and covers office expenses.
