Biker dies A 31-YEAR-old Vancouver man died Saturday night following a head-on crash on the centre span of the Lions Gate Bridge. * A West Vancouver Police Department spokesman said - Gearge Green was riding a. motorcycle south on the bridge at 8:30 p.m., when he pulled into the centre lane. The lane was designated as a northbound lane at the time. Green attempted to pass a vehicle. As Green pulled into the lane, a northbound vehicle crossed over the centre span of the bridge, resulting in the head-on crash. The driver of the northbound vehicle was transported . to Lions Gate Hospital and treated for injuries. Police closed the bridge for about four hours to clear ‘up aud investigate the accident.
