A couple of years ago,
South Korean automaker
Hyundai displayed. nvo
radical prototype sporty
coupes on the auto show
circuit called the HCD]
and HCD2.

No one was really sure
whether a car company known
for its inexpensive economy
cars was really serious about
introducing such an uncon-
ventional sporty car.

Well, a road-going version
is here, although it’s not quite
as radical as the show cars.
The new Tiburon (which
means ‘shark’ in Spanish) is a
compact, four-passenger
hatchback/coupe based cn

- the new Elantra sedan piat-
form. It’s not related to the
now-defunct Scoupe which:
was based on the subcompact
_ Excel.

The Tiburon is certainly a
stylistic departure from cur-
rent Hyundai models. Its
bulging body panels, creased

In recognition of widespread interest in how Meager Creek
hotsprings will be developed and manaaed in the future, the

Squamish Forest District office will be conducting a public review

process this summer.

In order to provide interest groups and members of the public
with an opportunity to make recommendations, express
concerns and ask questions, three public meetings

have been planned.
