She was born in Sechelt on May 6, 1931, but spent most of her adult life on the Nosth Shore of Vancouver, where, with her husband George, they raised their six children together. George and Phyllis founded Evergreen Tours which brought joy to the many seniors who explored the world with them. She will be fondly temembered by all her dear friends and telatives and will be deeply missed by her husband George; her children George Shaw Jr, Nancy Dowdeswell, Barbara Duval, Marie Shaw, David Shaw and Trevor Shaw; as well as her $8 grandchildren, Ezra Nichols, Tela Shaw.
