Nine of the 214 skiers entered
the event’s 24-hour marathon,
which began at noon Saturday and
ended at noon Sunday.
The other 205 skiers participated
in the marathon’s team event.
Marathon skiers were alowed a
maximum of 144 runs and a max-
imum of 10 minutes per hour of
rest during the 24-hour event.
Rain and wind forced a change
in the marathon run from the
mountain’s Cut to Blueberry run.
All money ‘raised during the
event, $18,481.63, will go to the
B.C. Lions Society for Crippled
Children and the Disabled Skiers
Association of B.C.
