But it’s the variety and character of Dundarave that makes the shopping district stand out from its standar- dized mega-mall counter- parts. Restaurants are a_ vital part of the area. ‘‘Where else can you find quality res- taurants that feature everything from Italian to Chinese to Western in just a couple of blocks?,’’ says Peake. The mer- chants have gone all out to give the area a festive look and to spread goodwill in- spired by the season. The streets are brilliantly decorated and school choirs will be on hand to sing caroles. A special visit from St. Nick is also scheduled for the Dundarave festivities.
