Salvation Army’s Biue Bag-it campaign. Unwanted
clothing can be dropped off at the mall to Aug. 28.

THE Salvation Army has launched its anoual

Blue Bag-it campaign.

More than 600,000 plastic blue bags have been delivered
to households across Vancouver on behalf of the i internation- :
al non-profit organization.

Fili the bags with clothes you no longer wear and drop”
them off at Park Royal shopping centre: Your recycled clothes
will help support the organization’s community programs. —

Each blue bag holds up to 15 pounds of clothing. The
campaign goal is to collect a minimum of 60,000 bags,
amounting to over 1 million pounds of clothing in Vancouver
alone.

Once collected, usable items will be processed throu A
Salvation Army thrift stores. Lesser quality items will also”
accepted, as they can be resold for scrap.
