By KIM BERTON News Reporter Neil Maclean says he would like to see North Vancouver RCMP establish a private com- munication system, and he its will- ing to do some fund raising to sce that happen. “Crooks are using police scan- ners legally for illegal purposes,” said MacLean. He said he is upset that a Van- couver police officer was killed this week by a suspected drug dealer who owned a scanner. (Vancouver police said there is no indication the man had been following police movements on his scanner). North Vancouver RCMP Supt.
