WHAT TO DO with all those
leaves currently falling onto your
property from trees and bushes?

grass cuttings and other garden
wastes, is a major component in
the Lower Mainland — recycling
program being promoted by the
Greater Vancouver Regional
Dist. ict.

Preliminary surveys have in-
dicated that for much of the year
close to 20 per cent of the refuse
left out for garbage collection is
garden wastes. This refuse is haul-
ed to one of the region’s Jandfills,
a costly and, in the case of garden
wastes, unnecessury method of

reduce the volume of refuse going
to the landfills.

for your own property or a group
of neighbors can get together to
produce one.
