THE problem with art is that it presents a unique point of view. That's not a problem if the viewer has a different point of view but is willing to cither engage in some form of constructive intellectual or emotional response. It’s not even a problem if the viewer chooses to reject or ignore the form or content. The problem occurs when the viewer knows better and decides to do something about it. This seems to have been the case when North Vancouver City removed a life-sized ceramic sculpture from an invited ibit at City Hall by local art teachers. Defining good art can be difficult. Legislating good taste should be impossible in a free society. NORTH SHORE DEMOGRAPHICS _ NO.
