Bus Fuller’s place — and the British Properties’ res- ident has got more than a fistful (58 outlets in all 49 of them Earls, the balance Jocy Tomatoes) — is all about buth. Earl is the real family name. The moniker is borne by all male members of the Fuller clan, and just about all those members work somewhere in the Earls operation. Probably the best all- round quality food chain in these parts. The Tin Palace has always been one of Earls’ biggest and best locations. Renovated and renewed in 1996, it is surely now Earls’ best. A quick lunch break: On the North Shore good luncheon abounds. Has been the best Mexican restaurant on the North Shore since it opened in 1989. Linda and Philip Mitchell run a cosy dining retreat for all ages at all times of the day. Inn Cogneato Bistro and Bakery, 1857 Lonsdale Ave., North Vancouver, 988-0201. A rea] down-home main street lunch bar that serves great plates of sandwiches and soups. Service bar with stools. TVs overhead. David Hossini on the grill. Excels in fine baked goods and high neighborly spirits. Carol Chow in the kitchen, sommelier Mark Davidson at your service and Janet overseeing the whole package. A winning combination.
