advance Canada’s reputation as a
world leader in housing techno-

logy, is proving popular with
consumers, ;

Constructed for the purpose of
showcasing new products and in-
novative building concepts, the
Advanced. House has attracted
over 10,000 visitors to its Surrey
location since being officially
opened June 28, 1993,

The Advanced House is situated
on a corner lot in a new subdivi-
sion at 64th Avenue and 190
Street in the Cloverdale area. The
address is 19006 63B Ave. The
public is welcome to tour the Ad-
vanced House, open from {1 a.m.
to 5 p.m. on Saturdays, and | to 5
p.m. on Sundays and holidays.

The 2,750 square foot single-
family home demonstrates new
energy-efficient technologies,

reduced
vironmentally friendly building
techniques, all designed for the
improved health and well being of
the home’s occupants.

As part of the ongoing promo-
tion of the Advanced House, a
series of ‘‘meet the experts’’ ses-
sions are being presented.

Energy efficient design and
construction will be the subject on
Saturday, Oct. 16 while home

automation will follow on Satur-.

day, Oct. 30 and heating and ven-
tilation on Saturday, Nov. 13.

Healthy homes will be the sub-
ject on Saturday, Nov. 27 and
Power Smart homes the subject on
Saturday, Dec. I1.
