Last night the artist unveiled a new selection of paintings at the Ferry Building at Ambleside Land- ing. The theme of suffering, for example, is explored through Crucifix images and a portrait of deposed Roma- nian leader Nicolae Ceausescu. “There is the appearance that everything in West Vancouver is fine," says Gildersleeve, ‘1 wanted to rock that boat a little bit.” Gildersleeve's exhibit runs until Feb. 11. presenting a special ‘heart smart’ menu throughout February.
