UNICEF B.C. greeting card col-
lection honors two paintings by
B.C, artist Carl Chaplin. Chaplin’s
works, Polar Bear and Penquins
from his Mother and Children
animal series, were selected for
UNICEF cards by an international
panel from over 1,000 works sub-
mitted by artists worldwide.

UNICEF cards will be available
at many outlets including libraries.

educational, medical and social
programs all over the globe,
UNICEF recently delivered
emergency relief to the Jamaican
and Mexican victims of Hurricane
Gilbert, to those left injured or
homeless by flooding in
Bangladesh and India, and to
those, particularly children, suf-
fering from civil strife in Burma,
Burundi and Rwanda.
