A 38-YEAR-OLD North Van- couver woman was sentenced Fri- day (Nov. 13) in North Vancouver & provincial court to 30 days in jail # after she pleaded guilty to two y charges of passing forged cheques. Carol Marie Belwa was orginally ing a forged document in connec- tion with incidents July 14 and 27 in which another woman’s cheques were alleged to have been forged. Belwa was further charged with one count of personating another woman and possession of stolen property in connection with the July 30 seizure of a woman’s iden- tification. Following Belwa’s guilty plea on the two forgery charges, the Crown entered a stay of pro- ceedings in the other two charges laid against her.
