Cross-country ski
program cuts costs

A NEW program designed to introduce beginners and
families to cross-country skiing has been launched by
Dairyland Foods and B.C.’s major cross-country ski
resort operators, including Cypress Bow].

The DairyMaid Juice Let's Go Cross-Country Ski-
ing program offers a low-cost day on the trails at cight
participating resorts.

“We are pleased to be involved in the program as a
corporate sponsor and to help B.C.'s cross-country
ski resort operators introduce the sport to more peo-
ple,” said Ron Harvey, manager, marketing and sales
for Dairyland Foods ‘‘Cross-country skiing is a great
way to add some fun and activity to our B.C. winters,
especially for families.’’

For $11.95, adults (children 12 and under are $7.95)
get a two-hour lesson from a qualified instructor, a
day pass and equipment rental.

Participants in the program, in addition to
Dairyland Foods, include Save-On-Foods stores,
selected ski shops,.and the following resorts:

In addition to the introdu ory program, a contest
to win one of eight cross-country ski vacations is
planned. Participating resorts will also offer 50 cent
day pass discounts on presentation of any DairyMaid
Juice proof-oi-purchase.

Reservations for this program must be made in ad-
vance with participating resorts and participants will
also receive a coupon book with discounts on ac-
commodation, ski lessons, day passes and ski equip-
ment. DairyMaid Juice’s Let’s Go Cross-Country Ski-
ing program will be available until March 31.
