Education is stressed, and all school-age members of Foster Families are en- couraged to attend school. Foster Parents are advised They join over 47,000 other Canadians who already support needy Third World children through Foster Parents Plan of Canada. Their small monthly con- tributions bring help to their Foster Child, his family and his community. The objective is not dependency, but to help the family become independent and self-supporting, through annually of the family’s progress, and a_ regular exchange of letters builds a warm and meaningful relationship. Through Foster Parents Plan, individuals, groups and families in Canada, Australia, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the U.S.A. are. currently assisting ovér 165,000 children in 18 countries of the Third World.
