The company, which specializes in European fash-
ions, has just opened its West Vancouver store,

A WEST Vancouver engineering firm was one of 14
B.C. companies awarded with a certificate of merit
Monday by Mary Collins, Associate Minister of Na-
tional Defence and MP for Capilano-Howe Sound.
Keen Engineering specializes in the mechanical
engineering of buildings. Some of the projects the
company has been involved with include the expan-
sion of Lions Gate Hospital, the expansion of the
Pacific Centre mall, and doing work with Expo '86.

VanCity nearly doubles profit

VANCOUVER CITY Savings
Credit Union (VanCity), with
branches on the North Shore, re-
corded net earnings of $5,262,000
in 1989, almost double the finan-
cial results for 1988 and VanCity’s
best performance since 1983. In
addition, the financial institution’s
assets grew by more than $360-
milion.
