(Eric Eggertson photo) Art workshops off to Nelson for summer In one month Nelson, B.C. will become the temporary home of noted = writers, dancers, musicians, pain- ters, and other artists. They will arrive to share their talents and experiences with young and old alike in the third Kootenay Lake Summer School of the Arts at the David Thompson University Centre in Nelson. Beginning July 5. more than 50 courses will be presented and will run from one to six weeks. A unique charactenstic of the school is its open-door policy that accepts people on a first-come, first-served basis. Students’ abilities range from beginner to professional. “We have professionals who want to upgrade their work, senior citizens, housewives who are hobby- onented, and young people.
