For some _ strange
reason the Vancouver
senior B lacrosse team
is causing problems for
the North Shore In-
dians.

And since the teams are
currently battling for the
West Coast Senior B title,
the Indians cannot allow
such problems to arise.

It all started when the
Vancouver side handed the
Indians their only real loss of
the regular season, in the
final game.

At that time the Indians
had already easily clinched
the league title and the result
had little significance.

But things have changed
now that the teams, are
competing in the best-of-five
series which at News press
time was tied at one game
each.

After romping over Delta
in two straight games in the
semi-final series, and en-
yoying a lengthy rest, the
Indians opened the series
against Vancouver with a
strong 16-8 victory at the

Vancouver reached the

final by defeating Burnaby in
the other semi-final series
that went to the full three
games..

And the tenacity of the
Vancouver team became
evident Tuesday night as
they rebounded to defeat the
Indians 16-15.

‘The third game of -the
series was scheduled for
Friday night at the North
Van Recreation Centre.

Despite caution on the
part of Indians spokesmen,
the team must still be over-

whelming favourites to
take the series, as the team
lias been virtually un-

the Marathon permitted to
use City streets, the eight
kilometre route starts at
Robson Square and ends at
New Brighton Park, just

north of the PNE grounds.

Participants may also
register at the starting line,
however there is a limit of
two thousand runners.
