ABOUT 20 tires were
slashed during the
Thanksgiving long week-
end in the Horseshoe Bay
area,
West Vancouver Police
Sgt. Jim Almas said about
20 other cars had the air
let out of their tires.
To press time, the police
had no suspects in the car vandalism, which occurred
sometime during Saturday night and Sunday morning.
The vandalized cars were parked in two locations near
Wellington Avenuc in Horseshoe Bay.
The Thanksgiving Day weekend is one of the busiest
for ferry traffic in Horseshoe Bay.

Driver hits and runs

NORTH Vancouver RCMP are attempting to find the driver
of a red Ford truck who crashed into a car and left the scene
Oct. 10 at Grand Boulevard and 19th Street.

According to Const. Karen Mang, the hit and run
occurred at 2:55 p.m. A woman driving a white 1990 Chevy
Cavalier was stopped at a green light to turn left on to
Sutherland, The farge red truck rear-ended her car. The
woman suffered whiplash. The truck sustained damage to
the right & front and orl Call Mang at 983-8300, local 3072.

NV artist unvells Diana
NORTH Vancouver artist Christian Cardell Corbet will
unveil his portrait of Diana, Princess of Waie., at the
Roundhouse Community Centre in Vancouver.

Corbet said those interested in attending can pay $20 at
the door. All proceeds go to AIDS Vancouver.

Corbet’ was commiscioned to create the portrait after
Diana was killed in a cx™ crash.

The drawing will go to Frince William and Prince Harry,
: Diana’s children, as a Christmas gift.
