Gechman and friend Ziv Feldman, both 22. left Israel about four wecks ago for a North American trip five years in the planning. The two men and Vancouver resident Lee Feldman, 30, visited Lynn Canyon Park on Monday afternoon. One hour later they came back to their car to find that a thief had pried open a door and broken into the car's trunk. Ziv Feldman’s 11 rolls of precious film were gone, The film chronicled the men’s eventful travels in Canada and the United States. “All the pictures in the snow, cooah.” said Ziv Feldman. trying to find the right words in English. Said Gechman, “We get snow in Jerusalem, but it is not like here, | covered myself in snow and froze (for a picture).” Lee Feldman (no relation to Ziv) feels doubly bad about the stolen items. Feldman befriended the Israelis in downtown Vancouver last Sunday after he heard them speaking Hebrew. “The looked Jike two lost puppies.” said Lee Feldman. “I decided to show them around the city. Lynn Canyon (Park) is one of my favorite places — or was.” said Lee Feldman. Feldman fost a backpack containing three high-density computer storage disks in the car break-in. The disks contained ihe last four months of kis work.
