The store offers quality and personalized furnishings and free deliveries. It bills itself as the only furniture store in the Greater Vancouver area to sell imported German, French and Austrian furnishings. In addition, specialty antique reproduction pieces can be ordered on request. A warehouse directly behind the store is also open for viewing where customers can see how the antique pieces are being worked on by staff. The location is the second store for Ceil City: the other one being near Oak and Broadway in Van- couver. The North Vancouver franchise store is owned by Bruce Gow, who has been in the = cellular business since 1987. The store specializes in selling cellular phones and pagers and is only one of about three such stores on the North Shore. “I'm really pleased with this location, it’s been going really well. I've got great response so far. It’s a store-front operation so we get a lot of walk-ins,’’ said Gow. JOB FUNDS EMPLOYERS WHO are willing to hire and tain unemployed people may be eligible for finan- cial assistance under the Canadian Job Strategy’s (CIS) employment training programs funded through CJS’s operations office in Van- couver. Through Employment and tm- migration Canada, limited funds are currently available to businesses and non-profit groups on the North Shore. Justice Minister and Vancouver Centre MP Kim Campbell said that the SBC-Software Association of B.C. (Software B.C.), will receive a $30,000 contribution for a project that will help selected B.C. software companies launch their products into U.S. and in- ternational markets. Total costs of the project are estimated at $44,000. “The B.C. software industry is One of the fastest-growing in- dustries in the province,’ said Campbell.
