Skiers win slaloms

THREE NORTH Shore racers dominated the Pensis slalom ai

Whistler last weekend.

Drew Hawkshaw of North Vancouver and West Vancouverites
Sam Poyner and Joey Gibbons shared the podium over the two-
day slalem taking first and second, first and second and third and

fourth respectively.

These racers will now advance to the Pepsi provincial slalom
finals to be hosted by Blackcomb on March 1-2 and to the Pepsi
super giant slalom finals to be eld on Whistler March 3-4.

In qualifying for the Pepsi provincia) finals, the ski racers have
competed in six qualifying races. Gibbons sits in first place,

followed by Hawkshaw in second and Poyner in fourth.
