The Rhodes Scholarships,
established in 1904 under the Will
of Cecil Rhodes, are the best
known of international scholar-
ships.
They have been the model for
many similar awards in Canada,
the United States and elsewhere.
Rhodes Scholars proceed to Ox-
ford where unique opportunities
exist for general undergraduate
studies and for advanced work in
both the humanities and the
sciences.
