Monday their plight went to West Vancouver Council which considered a_ letter from Mrs. Carrell appealing for action and compensation for damages. ‘“*The present situation,’ she wrote, ‘‘with the balls coming in from on high like bombs, is untenable. Protective netting around the club has deterio- rated and in some places rot- ted away, he said. He told Council that the netting would be replaced and this, it was hoped, would solve the problem. After the meeting he said that some netting had been installed already, there were more nets to: come and if this wasn’t enough his depart- ment would take ‘‘further ac- tion’’ next year. Mrs. Carrell, who was not aware of any new netting so far installed, agreed that the situation had got a lot worse over the last couple of years especially since the relocation of the 9th tec.
