The proclamation, signed

by the mayors of all three,

North Shore municipalities,
was then presented to Bill
Crompton, president of the
Lions Gate Medical research
Foundation.

INFLUENZA immunization
clinics for residents of the
North Shore 66 years of age
or older.are being held this
month by ‘the North Shore

Health Department.
The clinics will also im-
munize North Shore

residents of a younger age
who have a note from their
doctor’ ‘certifying that they
require immunization for
medical reasons.

- The vaccine itself is free of
charge, but there will be a

charge of $2,00 for ad-

ministration.

recently in the new Seniors
Activity Centre.

Over 125 Senior Citizens
were -brought to the Centre
by volunteer drivers for this
gala occasion. A number of
special guests were present,
including Mayor and Mrs.
Derrick Humphreys.

_The tea was convened by -

guests with. Beity. Crowther,
past-president..- Ap-
proxiniately 30 volunteers
assisted in many ways, aided
by ten. delightful girls from
Hillside Secondary School.

who had recently moved to
Victoria, came over \ and
opened the tea and told of
the growth and work ac-
complished over the past
seven years.
