Woman attacked

A 35-YEAR-OLD woman was atiacked on Monday in) the
lane behind the Royal Canadian Lepion at 123 West 15th
St. in North Vancouver City.

The North Vancouver woman was grabbed from
behind as she walked towards her car at Uf p.m, accord:
ing to « RCMP spokesman,

The attacker put his arm across her chest, grabbing
the womun's knapsack. Police believe the attack was sex-
ually related because the knapsack was recovered
unopened after the incident. Police say the woman strug-
pled with the attacker and was able to eseape. :

The victim did not “get a good look” at her attacker,
but told the police he was 1.8 m (6°) tal) and hada slim
build. The attacker was wearing cowboy boots, and ‘a
leather jacket,

‘The woman had been at the legion playing darts before
the incident. Anyone with information Is requested to call

‘Flushed out

A BURGLARY suspect was nabbed by the West
Vancouver Police on Tuesday with his pants down, fitcral-
ly, sitting on a toilet.

The suspect, 21, and another male, 18, both of North
Vancouver, were arrested inside a business in Park Royal
~Shopping Centre’s south mall, according to a ‘West
Vancouver Police spokesman.

. The suspects,: police believe, got into the business
through a broken window at 9:30 p.m.

A VANCOUVER taxi driver
turned over a small amount of
cash on Wednesday after a
gun-pointing robber fired a
warning shot into the ground in
the 2500-block of Pu cell Way
in North Vancouver.

Nobody was injured in the 5 a.m,
incident, according. to a North
Vancouver RCMP spokesman.

The robber
MacLure's Cab's driver as he was
letting two male passengers off near
Capilano College.

With one passenger out of the
taxi and the other waiting inside for
change from the driver, a small,
white or beige car pulled up beside
the cab,

The suspect car was described as
being around 10 years old and could
have been a hatchback,

The robber quickly got out of the
passenger seat, pointing a gun at the
cabbie, according to police.

The two paying customers ran
off as soon as they saw the gun,
claim police.

The robber took off in the get-
away car, which had its licence

The robber is described as being
1.7 1m (5°8" to 5°9") tall, aged 26 to
25, with a medium build, shoulder-
length dark hair, olive skin and a

The victim described the robber
as being possibly of East Indian

descent.

Police want the two passengers
to help them in the investigation.
The men were picked up outside the
Hyatt Regency Hotel in Vancouver
and wanted to be taken to Capilano
College.
