town early this fall!

The Rolling Stones will be
making another world tour immedi-
ately after their new album is

launched and J can tell you that they
have had several discussions with
the folk at B.C. Place Stadium and
with the president of the B.C.
Pavilion Corp., West Van's
Warren Buckley There is no con-
firmation as yet but it certainly does
look promising}...

Centre Hotel was the site fora gala
dinner and auction to celebrate the
30th anniversary of Arts Club
Theatre. Artistic Director and West
Van resident Bill Millerd deserves
every kudo imaginable for heading
up the theatre group for the past
three decades, taking the risks and
providing the forum for so much
growth and entertainment for so
many people.

So on Saturday night in the hotel
ballroom, the standing ovation and
heartfelt champagne toast to 30
good years was more than just
another throw-away line. It was an
especially happy time for Incal-boy-
makes-good, Brent Carver, who
still looks as kind and gentle as the

York. Dinner organizer David
Harrison should feel very pleased.
I'm told that they raised a whop-
ping $45,000 on the art auction
alone!...

Also on that same weekend, the
Shriners couldn't have had a fun-
nier honorary ring-master than
North Yan's popular master of cere-
monies and radio personality, Rick
Honey. He was cracking the whip
for the Gizeh Shrine Circus at the
Pacific Coliseum on Sunday after-
noon, keeping everything on time
and in order. He even lost his
trousers! The hard-working
Shriners are ecstatic with the results
of this year's circus. Over the five
shows, they had a recurd-setting
attendance of 42,919! They'll defi-
nitely be back next yeart...
