REE = I firse met this tip- - fun loving dancing grandma over 12 years ago through my job as a care facility activities director. After I retired 1 still looked to Kathy for entertainers — this time as a volunteer organizing seniors’ activi- ties. A couple of years ago I became part of her group. Kathy has added a zest and life to my senior years and exploded the myth old is less desirable. She makes me feel a kid again — a golden girl body § housing a mischievous post-adolescent. She provides the most effective vitamin of all for an old fady — enthusiasm. I love it. Fer over 16 years, this 64-year-old has provided riveting dance entertainment in care facilities, hospitals, rehabilita- tion centres, seniors’ buildings, and other places. And she does it for free. With a schedule that would knock most people flat — and a winning team giving their time to practise new routines — she surrenders her precious leisure time travelling, performing, making costumes, and helping others make them as well as carting cumber- some equipment.
