Blueridge editorial Dear Editor: What happened to verifving facts before writing an article and passing judgment? Does the North Shore News feel Ihat inventing and deducing facts is sufficient background for their sto- ties? ‘The April 13 News editorial certainly made a good “story” and should justifiahly incite outrage among the taxpayers of School District 44. It is unfortunate that the facts bear no resemblance to the written article, fC is also noteworthy that the North Shore News was contacted when the play structure was official- ly ope:.ed, to came and take pictures with members of North Vancouver * District Council. Uheir lack of atten- tion is interesting in comparison to the picture published af the view of the structure from the neighbor's home. Obviously, “wood” news isn’t nearly as appealing ais fiction and controve Att ching blame to the problem serves to useful purpose, People mike mistakes and there is no deny- ing that the placement of the struc- ture Was a bis one. But, the North Shore News decided to take if upon itself to play judge and jury in this matter and has decided the blame must. fie with the parents of Blueridge echool.
