Charges were laid after an incident that started when a North Vancouver RCMP constable stopped a white Mercedes for speeding at the intersection of Forbes and - Esplanade on December 5. When the constable return- ed to his car to write a traffic violation ticket, Salmon walked over to the police car, apartment and grabbed the woman’s purse. West Vancouver police called in a tracking dog in at- tempts to nab the duo, but the dog lost the scent about punched the policeman, ‘and then returned to the Mercedes. Back-up help was called in and Salmon had to be physically removed from the scene, according to RCMP. Boat pulled from the rocks MEMBERS OF the North and West Vancouver Emergency program’s marine rescue team recovered a stolen boat Thursday but not before the boat had suffered $25,000 damage. The marine rescuers spent five and a half hours pulling - the 42-foot boat, owned by a West Vancouver man, off rocks in Indian Arm. CROSS | LAST CHANCE!
