out of their livelihoods
because of North Vancouver
District’s ‘tunjust’’ high
business licence fees, council
heard Monday.

““As owner of a small
business that operates 14
amusment machines in

District,’’ said Robin Sims,

‘‘I feel the present fee of $100
a machine is too much.’’

He told council that other
municipalities charge only
$30 a machine in business
licence charges, and unless

he could lose his livelihood.

now very much down.

‘‘High business hcence fees
will hurt our business finan-
cially at this point,’’ said
Sims.

He urged council to lower
the amusement machine fees
to $30 ‘‘in order to be fair to
our small business.’”’

Council said they would
discuss his request at the next

policy and planning meeting.
