The events began when a police officer went to check a 1979 Ford Bronco at the top of Westhill Drive, which had both doors open. A man jumped from the passenger door and ran into a nearby bush area, and a shot was then heard. Police searched the area, aided by a dog, but failed to turn up any trace of the man. A search of the Bronco revealed various property, including some .32 calibre ammunition. He is charged with break and entry with intent, three counts of theft of credit cards, three counts of possession of stolen credit cards, two counts of theft over $200, two of possessing stolen property, one count of Possessing a _ restricted weapon and one of using a firearm while fleeing from police.
