Dye yarn this summer

THE CREATIVE craft of dyeing
yarn and fabric will be taught in 4
four-week course this summer at
the West Vancouver Recreation
Centre.

The instructor, Miencke Mces, is
a coordinator of Capilano Col-
lege’s craft program and is a
respected artisan in the field of
fabric arts.

This program will teach partici-
pants how to achieve a wide range

of colors on fabric and yarn by us-
ing various methods of dyeing. An
introduction to different types of
dyes and colar application wili be
included.

The workshop runs Wednesday,
July 19 to Aug. 9, from 7 to 10
p.m. Sample fabric and yarn will
be provided as will the dyes. Cost
for the workshop is $45. Advance
registration is required. Please call
