Last week BCL Ferries spokesman Clay Suddaby contimed pubhshed reporss | stating the first vessel is now | expected to cost S86 million rather than its budgeted cost of $74 million, But othe corporation | expects clear sailing when it comes to buding the next two ferries. “We still anticipate being able to complete the project at an average of $74 million per ship,” said Suddaby, adding that cost overruns should be limited in the future because workers have learned trom earlier mistakes.
