34 - Sunday, May 14, 1989 - North Shore News The Tweifth Annual Race The 1989 running of the Twelfth Annual North Shore News Sail- ing Race co-sponsored by CHQM, is set for Sunday June 18th. Racers from previous years will be familiar with the course from the start at Dundarave Pier, to a marker at Point Atkinson, to the Point Grey Bell Buoy, to a marker set 0.7 miles south of the center channef marker, to the finish line off Kitsilano Yacht Club, a distance of approx. imately 12 miles. ___ The start will be conducted at 10:00 am, and the official finish time is 3.00 pm. Ceremonies and awards presentations will begin as soon as possible after 3.00 pm. at the Pelican Bay Dining Room located in the Granville island Hotel. The twelfth annual family sailing event is open to alll cruising sailboats regardless of club membership or affiliation. Entry Forms Are available at the North Shore News and CHQM.
