Doug Collins ® get this straight @ NOTHING IS too gauche for the Baloneyites. They are buddies with the African National Congress terrorists, and now the ANC has announced it will start blowing up British targets in South Africa. No wonder Maggie That- cher would rather dance with a viper than aim a smile at Brian. The new ANC murder program was announced after Maggie refused to budge on the South African sanctions issue. But if she didn’t give way when the Falklands were occupied, or when the IRA nearly blew her to Kingdom Come, she is unlikely to give wry to a few commie thugs. Or to a fool like our man. The ANC announcement was made right here on the West Coast and it was stated that British firms are not the only ones the ANC will try to hit. Other western com- panies in South Africa will also be on the list. Presumably, that could include Canadian companies. If that happens, they will know that the Great Baloney himself is the friend of the bomb-dealers. If that were not the case, he wouldn't allow the ANC to have an office in Toronto and roam the Canadian airwaves. Are you proud of those dolts in Ottawa? Does it please you that to make a few cheap yards with the dictators of the phony Com- monwealth this country is friendly with terrorists? Anglican Archbishop Ted Scott doesn’t mind. Pauline Jewett doesn’t mind. The socialist that Baloney sent to the U.N. doesn’t mind, But | think most of us are disgusted. In spite of everything that Baloney and Joe Clark have done to destroy it, you see, our emo- tional link with the U.K. is still greater than any connection with black thugs. (As witness David Crombie’s hasty backing away from his proposal to remove the Queen’s name from the Oath of Allegiance for new citizens.) This Canadian cosying-up to the third-raters of the Third World has been the greatest gaffe of them all, For it is my guess that conservatives in this country would put the British prime minister ahead of our prime minister any day. He exudes in- sincerity and is nothing but a Quebec ward-heeler let loose in- ternationally. In comparison with him, Pierre Trudzau looks like a John Bircher. How can anyone be thick with a group that seeks to assert its authority through lynching by fire? Next thing you know, we’ll be saying that the fake-toy bombs the Russians use to kill kids in Afghanistan are not all that bad, really. Our friendship with the ANC is more than lip service. A couple of months ago, Joe Clark snuggled up to them like mad in Zambia. Baloney received Oliver Tambo, the terrorist-in-chief, in Ottawa. As already mentioned, the ANC has an office in Toronto and free rein to roam. It will be interesting to see what the major media have to say about the new terrorist tactic. So far they have voiced no complaints at all about the ANC. You would have thought the ANC was the Boy Scouts. Anyway, this is something else you can throw at your North Shore MPs, both of whom are strict party-liners. Will the Great Baloney have se- cond thoughts about the rift with the U.K., Chuck and Mary? Who matters most, Maggie or Tambo? Just askin’. Nothing would sur- prise me. After all, Mary Collins did come back from Ethiopia bab- bling about what a nice guy Col. Mengistu was. x~« * * Here’s a bit on the Commenrot Conference that didn’t make previous columns. Did you know that you are real- ly keen on the Commonwealth, even though many of its leaders are trash, and that you are just as keen on La Francophonie, whose leaders are even bigger trash? Baloney assured the assembled multitude you were. Canadians’ attachment to both, he said, was ‘‘more than sentimental.” x ke * A tip of the hat to whoever it was who flew that plane over Bur- rard Injet bearing a streamer that read; ‘‘Hang in there, Maggie.
