ented aboard an oblong Hy’s
crockery raft loaded with
wok-fried peppers, red and
green, baby corn, onions,
broccoli, and cauliflower.
The sauce enlivened both
duck and vegetables with the
sparkle of Chinese parsley

Even the mammoth But-
terfly Shrimps, again ac-
companied with the result of
high Chinese vegetable cui-
sciousness and classic black
bean sauce, betrayed a subtle
Szechuan bite.

The entire meal was
prepared and delivered in the
fashion consistent with what
has come to be associated

with the Hy’s organization
over the years.

Though the club has a lot
to offer gastronomically, it
remains to be seen whether
the tentative revival of
Hornby Street will material-
ize in time to give Hy's Club
Orient a fighting chance of
survival.
